Within this chinoiserie-style illustration is an amalgam of easter eggs inspired by a number of shows on Netflix.

Commissioned by Netflix and in collaboration with Astek, cameos include various birds in "For the Birds: Dancing with Birds" and key objects from The Witcher and Dark. Hints to other shows include clues from The OA, Locke & Key, The Chalet, The Kingdom, Birdbox and The Black Spot.

Though I've not seen one show from the list, this was a really fun style to draw in! The Great Hornbill may be a favorite.

Hand-drew charcoal ice cream cones for a playful wall covering at a Graduate Hotels by Hilton at the State College location, near Penn State. In collaboration with Astek and AJ Capital Partners.

It has been so much fun to Co-Art Direct, as well as participate in Astek's collection, Resonance. A snippet of my participation.

I'm a huge advocate of present-moment-flow art-making, therefore creating the opportunity for the Design Team to connect with "flow" for this collection is an aspiration fulfilled. In essence, creating art is so much more fun when we simply tune into what becomes the next best move.

Hand painted for Astek's Atmos Mural Collection, the aim was to capture the spirit of the land with gestural, form, and texture. One of my favorite collections to have been a part of.

I absolutely love illustrating food, maybe only second to depicting flora. It was therefore a joy to weave cilantro, basil rosemary, and chrysanthemum into some of my favorite cooking and food related Netflix shows. On initial viewing, one sees the flora elements and upon second reading, one discovers the surprise elements embedded in the design.

Commissioned by Netflix and in collaboration with Astek, this hand-illustrated "wood-block" wallcovering pattern was inspired by easter eggs elements such as the Lotus Flower Tea from the Jeong Kwan episode from Chef's Table, omurice from Midnight Diner, and many delectable treats from The Great British Bake Off. Other shows that were included were Street Food, Samurai Gourmet, Nailed It, Sugar Rush and Flavorful Originals. Can you tell what may have been inspired by what show? This was also a lot of fun to create different color ways for.

Cute, hand-illustrated citrus inspired wall-covering in a lino-cut style. By far some of my favorite motifs to illustrate are food items, so this was especially fun to make.

Eastbound road trips to the desert on the 10 was the inspiration behind Vista 4 (if you know, you know). Sweet nostalgia for vast lands, faraway mountain ranges and crack of dawn adventures in the high desert.

An eclectic amalgam of historical Chinatown and modern day San Francisco, this wall covering was designed and developed for The LINE San Francisco. Since it was to be installed in corridor ceilings, motifs were developed in two different directions so that the art could be enjoyed from both sides.

Still attempting to capture that elusive change in desert light with acrylic, brush and palette knife. An unexpected combination of lemons and watercolor olive branches brightens and enlivens this chic dining area.

Perhaps a surprising vantage point, this mural is an exploration of life beneath the obvious. A contemplation of life from this secret alcove of space, this perspective challenges sense of scale and space. Created in collaboration with Astek.

This gestural piece was created for Astek's Phantasm Collection.

"Using the cyanotype printing technique, ethereal compositions are captured using sunlight, shadow, and water. Our designers pushed the medium to create spectral images and textures, at times figurative and at times unknowable. The resulting Phantasm collection is a series of evocative murals full of gorgeous handmade details in rich shades of cyan blue."

Phantasm is a NYCxDESIGN Honoree (2021).

Created for Asteks map mural collection, Geographia, this was an opportunity to re-imagine the historial, psychological and significance of map-making.

Drawing upon the phenomena of the moon's gravitational pull on the sea, I sought to express the interconnectedness of the moon's effect on the ebb and flow of ocean tides. Undulating forms rise and fall throughout the image, while amphidromic points and systems, a type of tidal movement, span in web-like fashion. Upon closer read, the white lines reveal themselves as clusters of dots, harkening back to the stars.
